Last Saturday some of our members joined children, parents and staff on a volunteering morning to start the restoration of the school's vegatable garden. There were 22 volunteers, and as well as working really hard, everyone also had a good time. There was lots of jobs completed:- the 3 large beds were dug over and planted up, the pond was cleaned, a new herb bed was created, a paved area was started, and a picnic bench, donated by Bedworth Lions was constructed. The children made a scarecrow.
The project was supported by a grant from Bedworth Lions, a donation of compost from Shop in the Shed- Weston Hill Farm and along with the time spent by our members, the club also donated numerous plants and seeds.
